The ATLETA Grants Program (AGP) is for the bold—the teams who see sports as the next frontier for blockchain and are ready to stake their claim. ATLETA is the first-ever modular multilayer blockchain for the sports industry, and AGP is its open invitation to creators at every level—from scrappy startups with disruptive ideas to established innovators ready to push boundaries in Web3.
This program isn’t just about funding; it’s about immersion into an ecosystem wired for speed, scalability, and game-changing potential. AGP gives you direct access to technical resources, marketing clout, and a supportive network of crypto-sport visionaries. Here, fan tokens, decentralized sports economies, and next-gen prediction engines are live projects waiting to launch.
Are you ready to change the game? Then keep reading; AGP might be just the boost your vision needs.
The ATLETA Grants Program is a high-powered launchpad designed to bring transformative projects into the ATLETA ecosystem—a blockchain network uniquely optimized for the sports industry. AGP targets projects of all sizes and levels of expertise, offering a dynamic support structure that includes direct funding, technical resources, and marketing exposure.
At its core, AGP is about driving adoption and innovation within ATLETA by connecting with projects that want to leverage its high-performance, modular infrastructure.
Unlike traditional grants, AGP supports diverse development paths with distinct funding tracks, including ecosystem grants, hackathon support, and a unique Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF) mechanism:
— Ecosystem Grants
Fuel for any and every kind of contribution to ATLETA. Ecosystem Grants cover a vast range, from open applications—where you can pitch any idea—to targeted Requests for Proposals (RFPs) crafted by ATLETA and the community. If your vision aligns with ATLETA’s goals, this grant track gives you the resources to build it.
— Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF)
Rewards for the impact you can prove. RPGF is ATLETA’s reward track for projects already making waves on-chain, measured by metrics like network load, gas use, and user engagement. With RPGF, it’s simple: the more you contribute to ATLETA’s ecosystem, the bigger the reward.
— Hackathons
Sprint events for problem-solvers and builders. ATLETA’s hackathons bring together developers to tackle sports-industry challenges on the blockchain. Whether solo or with Web3 partners, these events provide funding, tech support, and a stage to demonstrate brand-new solutions.
DeFi: Decentralized finance that sports fans can actually use. From lending and stablecoins to staking and asset tokenization, DeFi on ATLETA can redefine sports finance for a global audience.
Gaming & Sports DApps: Fan engagement, competition, and immersive experiences. This includes everything from fantasy leagues and fan tokens to sport-focused DAOs—blockchain applications that turn fans into active participants.
Education: Web3 literacy to the world. AGP supports educational content and meetups, giving new users the tools to learn about the blockchain and the ATLETA ecosystem.
Marketing: ATLETA made discoverable. From digital campaigns and AMAs to physical events, these projects promote ATLETA to new audiences across the sports and crypto spaces.
Research: Blockchain with no limits. AGP funds research into cryptography, economics, data privacy, and other core topics critical to Web3 innovation.
Infrastructure & Tooling: ATLETA components and tools for developers. Everything from validator nodes and interoperability tools to developer libraries and analytics—tools that make ATLETA stronger and more scalable.

📖 Detailed steps and requirements in our Gitbook
1) Submit the application
Detail your project, team, unique value, and funding requirements. Precision is important here; the more detailed, the better your chances.
2) Go through screening
We screen your application within 48 hours for relevance and clarity. Viable candidates are evaluated on criteria like execution potential, technical innovation, market impact, and alignment with ATLETA’s mission.
3) Get reviewed
Qualified applicants undergo a review, with decisions typically made within 90 days. Successful candidates receive notifications and get introduced to the ATLETA team.
4) Onboard with ATLETA’s team

To maintain quality and alignment within the ATLETA ecosystem, AGP sets firm requirements for all grant participants:
— Open-Source Code: Any code developed under AGP funding must be open-source. We also accept codes licensed under Apache 2.0, GPLv3, MIT, or similar;
— Full Disclosure: Complete, accurate project information is mandatory. Withholding or falsifying details results in immediate disqualification and cessation of funding;
— No Parallel Token Sales: Projects cannot engage in token sales while participating in AGP. Token sales after AGP or those completed before applying for one are allowed;
— Quality First: Grant recipients are expected to prioritize functionality, clarity, and end-user experience in their deliverables;
— Single-Grant Rule: Teams may apply for multiple grants over time but can only hold one active grant at a time. AGP does not fund multi-problem or duplicate proposals;
— Do-No-Evil Policy: AGP won’t fund projects that engage in or promote illegal activities, including gambling, money laundering, or any form of illicit trade.
ATLETA Grants Program funding model may vary for each project. How funds are disbursed depends on several factors, like the type of grant, the applicant’s track record, the funding amount, and even the current state of the industry.:
In general, funding is split into tranches, with each release tied to project milestones. After onboarding, we send an initial payment, followed by subsequent tranches as milestones are achieved.
We send the last portion of funding only after closure, when you complete the project, and it gets reviewed.
Example
Project: Building a DEX
Funding: 100,000 $ATLA
Tranches: 5
Duration: 3 months
Sign-on: ---- 3% (3,000 $ATLA)
Tranche 1: -- 7% (7,000 $ATLA)
Tranche 2: -- 12% (12,000 $ATLA)
Tranche 3: -- 17% (17,000 $ATLA)
Tranche 4: -- 28% (28,000 $ATLA)
Closure: ---- 33% (33,000 $ATLA)
Grant requests typically range between 5,000 and 100,000 $ATLA, with an upper limit of 200,000 $ATLA. Requests outside this range are scrutinized for feasibility and alignment with AGP’s impact goals.
Grants are disbursed in $ATLA by default. Alternatively, we can consider other currencies for specific cases, such as U.S.-based projects or upon prior agreement during onboarding.
